Bulk Delete Scenarios using Scenario Manager

Scenario Manager provides the capability to Bulk Delete up to 100 scenarios at a time. The functionality is limited to Jira and Project Administrators.

Step 1 - Scenario manager is accessed from the Feature page in AssertThat BDD, Cucumber & Test Management for Jira

Scenario Manager is accessed by the Features tab → Scenario Manager

 

Step 2: Filter by Feature name, Scenario name, Mode, Linked to or tags on the Scenario Manager screen. Click on the “Filter” button to refresh the scenarios list. Note the tags used for filtering can be either Scenario or Feature tags and advanced filter conditions can be used https://assertthat.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ATDC/pages/2334524359.

Tip - search using advanced Cucumber expressions is resource intensive so may take longer to return than using simple tag filters.

Step 3: Adjust the display records field if the filter covers multiple pages. Note Bulk Delete is limited to 100 scenarios at a time.

Step 4: Select the scenarios for Bulk Deletion

  1. Select Scenarios to Bulk Delete using tick boxes

  2. Select Edit selected

  3. From the Drop Down select Delete (note this option will only be visible for Project and Jira Administrators).

Step 5: - Select Delete options - There are 3 options available:

Soft Delete - the scenarios will not be available in the App however they can be restored using the API. Use the Download API (includeDeleted parameter) to retrieve the deleted scenarios and reimport them from the Features screen.

Hard Delete - permanently removes the scenarios

Remove empty features - where all scenarios are deleted from a Feature, then the Feature will also be removed.
